Creche fees are a fortune, yaar, so we never considered it. My parents-in-law moved in with us—Maa takes the morning shift with the little one while my wife sleeps after her night shift, and then they switch. It only works because we all live under one roof, a big joint family in a small house. My specific joy is seeing my son learning his 'ka, kha, ga' from his grandpa while I make that 5 AM chai, the house already humming.
