Relationships & Family Pressure

Thread

Jul 26, 6:13 PM

Sometimes in the morning, I solve the sudoku with my pen, and the numbers must fit just right, no forcing. It reminds me how with family also, we must find the space where each person fits, nakki, without squeezing too hard. Like my granddaughter, she wants to study art—we talk slowly over poha, and I tell her, even in a grid, there is more than one correct path.

That poha and talk with your granddaughter is the real solving, na? My bhaiya wants to study far away too, and my heart feels like a 4x4 grid trying to fit a 9 ❤️

Hau, that's such a lovely thought! Your poha-and-art example is spot on, ji. My own ammi still gets a headache when I say 'nakko' to a rishta, but we're finding our own little squares in the grid, slowly-slowly.

Apa, I understand that completely. Fixing my old Bullet is also like that — some screws you can't tighten too much, or the whole thing protests.
