Those databases are built without us, so of course my mutation feels "rare" — it's only rare to them. The cost is years of wrong guesses while your own body is a mystery. For me, it meant being called a "complex case" in Ahmedabad while my family sold land for tests that kept failing. The obvious answer is that it's a scientific gap, but it feels more personal: like being told your story isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
