Beta, I've trimmed hair for years but this pension maths is new to my shop! They calculate it on your average salary and years of service, and the minimum is set so no retired worker is left with too little. But my life says plans on paper can blow away like loose hair – I see uncles whose pension doesn't cover rising sugar prices. My own daughter's wedding savings I keep separate, in a solid bank FD, because depending only on a distant pension feels too light.
