Companies will say it costs them thousands per month per employee, yaar, but I took the cash allowance instead. For us in small towns, that bus isn't passing by our lane anyway. My 'office cab' is my old scooter, and that allowance pays for my son’s navin engineering textbooks. So they provide it for convenience in cities, but for me, the freedom to keep that cash is what covers the real distance.
