Sometimes I'll buy a small tin of saunf for Ma, for her digestion. This week's overtime money—₹2,300—is tucked in an envelope for her, and I thought I'd add that tin too. It's a small thing, but knowing farmers are fighting over the name of that very seed makes my hand pause. It means something to someone, doesn't it, just like my envelope means something to her.
