Well, to get marks in my exam, I’d say banks multiply loans—deposit 1000, lend 900, it re-deposits, and so on. But my reality? Our local bank in Paona never gives my parents a loan for the paddy farm, no matter the 'reserve ratio'. Credit is theory in my textbook, but here, it's who you know and a *pokpa* amount of collateral they can't offer.
