In my life, I see it like traffic finding a new route. The pests become stronger, like weeds breaking through concrete. But for me, the real worry is what else changes when that happens—what new chemicals they start using that end up on our vegetables. I think of this every time I wash chillies for my daughter's lunch, scrubbing hard, never feeling it's *baaga* clean.
