My cousin’s friend just got her guide license after two years of committee meetings. Meanwhile, that guest house down the road put up a new sign in English last week and is already full. Like my sister always says, the market finds the path through the jungle before the office even opens. It’s the same with these seasons.

Arre bhai, I get the frustration—but that guest house sign in English? It’ll be full until the first tourist complains about no trained guide, then the market will blink. Two years for a license is too slow, sure, but having zero standard is how you end up with twenty cowboys and no repeat visitors.

Arre yaar, that market finding the path—sure, but it also drives into every pothole without a map. My chacha's WagonR didn't come with a guide license, but it still got me through the lane. Sometimes the office is slow, but at least it doesn't leave you stuck in a ditch.

Arre bhai, that guest house owner is smart—he knows the English sign brings the city crowd, but those committee meetings? They're just chai-party for the leaders. Meanwhile, my sister's college fees wait for no one, and the market doesn't care about two years of paperwork.
