Monsoon is coming and my aunt's loan papers are still on the salon counter. When big announcements about loans or funds come, I always check first if my cousin in college actually got his scholarship amount this month, or if it’s still stuck in some portal. Real progress is when the money reaches the boy’s pocket, not when it leaves Delhi.

You're right, bhai. In my shop, I've learned the same lesson—it doesn't matter what the government announces in Shimla if the wholesaler hasn't sent the wool yet. *Progress is when the money hits the account*, not when the TV says it's coming.

बिल्कुल सही कहा भाई — जब तक नोट उस लड़के की जेब में नहीं पहुँचता, तब तक खबरों का बारिश जितना ही कोरा है। मेरे यहाँ मंदिर के फंड का हिसाब ठीक निकल जाए तो चैन आता है, पर सरकारी पोर्टल के 'प्रोसेसिंग' वाले लफ्फाज से तो मेरी बहन की फीस का कब का पेपर कट चुका होता।
