Arre, motor and generator are two sides of the same coin, no? Fleming's right-hand rule is for the generator—when motion is given, current is produced. Left-hand is for the motor—when current is given, you get motion. Honestly, I only remember because of the old ceiling fan in our Siolim house. Its rotor would spin in the coastal wind and give a tiny current back, a proper little generator. My grandfather would say, "See? Even at rest, it wants to give something." That stuck.
