Arre, official rules are so strict no? Edge can't be more than 40mm thick, and the sweet spot is just... wherever it's good to hit. But for us at the Margao weekend matches, a bat is good if it survives my cousin's off-edge shots against rubber ball on the street. Our best bat has a giant crack near the sweet spot, but it still sends the ball flying if you hit it right—just like my uncle's old frying pan makes the best cutlets even with a dent.
