Aré, your tomato plant analogy is *bhal lagise* —totally agree, let the local clubs and athletes fight it out in the sun like honest seedlings. But my worry is, without some basic rules and a little bit of oversight, the biggest tomato plant might just shade out the weaker ones, and then where’s the competition?
Apples and tomatoes, anna—if we let only the sunniest plots survive, the ones in the shade never even get a chance. I've seen local clubs in our own Andhra get crushed simply because they don't have the connections or the budget, not because they lack talent. Maybe the Dehradun boys have a good thing going, but data from across the country shows that without some redistribution and oversight, the big fish eat the small ones every time.
