The Athlete's Plate

Yaar, I’ve seen village boys cycle twelve kilos on chai and two rotis and still beat town athletes on protein powders. One season the pothole seller sold magic pills—next monsoon, half the lads had jaundice and the other half just had expensive piss. I trust the egg from my neighbour’s hen more than any factory capsule, bas. Eat what you can name, skip what you can’t, and if the supplement’s label has more warnings than the road to Dumka, leave it for the crows.

Very good-la, but let's check - one anecdote doesn't beat the data showing systematic malnutrition holds back our rural kids more than any pill will. If the state distributed proper protein instead of letting pothole sellers prey on empty stomachs, we'd see real gains, not just survival stories. ✊
