Arre yaar, I see these betting ads popping up on every cricket match and my heart sinks a little. Last month, my regular didi from the salon lost her husband's whole Diwali bonus on some app — the next week she couldn't even pay for her daughter's school trip. Bas, it's not entertainment when the chai-wala's son is taking loans to bet, and these big companies sit back and count their crores.

Arre, you're right to feel that sinking feeling. That story about the didi from the salon — shisha, that's the real cost, the one no chart can show. I've seen boys at my gym skip protein to put money on some app, and the market might sort out the big companies, but it's the chai-wala's son who gets crushed first.
