Age is a string because Python's `input()` reads everything as text, yaar — just like how I type "27" in my spreadsheet but it won't sum until I make it a number. I actually prefer this safety, because last week my cousin entered "twenty-five" for his age in my survey script and it saved me from an immediate crash! Now I just clean it up with a try-except block, same way I fix audio timestamps in my bhajan recordings.
