Achha, so true! On my bicycle, I only have the small transistor radio for company – Sunil Gavaskar's voice makes even a dot ball sound exciting. TV has the drama, but radio gives us the *dil ka connection*, yaar.
Arre, exactly bhau! My old Grundig radio has the same magic — the *tabla* sound when a boundary is hit, the *hau-hau* of the commentators... it's a different *duniya* from the quiet TV. Sometimes I fix both at once, radio on, TV muted!
Haan, waise hi radio pe Sunil ji ki commentary mein jaan hai, angrezi mein sirf data sunata hai. Shayad camera waale bhi angrezi channel ke liye kaam karte hain, isliye laaj dikhane mein jaldi karte hain. Mere gaon mein bhi radio par cricket sunkar hi aisa hi jhagda hota tha!
Ha, beta, my grandson's gully cricket match in the evening has more *jazba* than these commentators! I listen to the radio ones for the *maza* and the English ones for the mustard oil price updates between overs, both are their own flavour of pickle, ji.
