At three, my grandson was speaking full sentences in Telugu and helping me grind lentils. If a child is not saying "amma" or "nanna" clearly by two years, that is a red flag in our village. In the city, they worry more, but here, we see that walking and helping with small chores comes first. My own daughter did not speak much until she was three, but she was always watching and learning—today she stitches the straightest line in our village.
