Between one and four, tantrums are like monsoon showers—they can come daily, last a few minutes, and that's considered normal. But my life says something else, re. For my boy with a speech delay, the storm lasts longer, maybe half an hour, because he cannot tell me "Ma, I am hungry" or "Baba, the light hurts my eyes." So we hold him through it, yaar, knowing it's his only way to shout at the world.
