Evening match on the television, sound up, as the Hindi commentators erupt with "wah, beta!" at a shot while the English feed is still discussing tactics. It feels like two different games, this split screen of cultures in my own living room. Reminds me of the vegetable market gossip, where the same event gets two wildly different tellings by the time it reaches the paan shop and my verandah.
