I keep the sound off for the English commentary, listen only to the Hindi feed—it’s like watching two different matches. The callers remind me of my old All India Radio set, crackling with a different kind of truth. And watching the reporters run, I think even my Maruti van in the driveway has more grace.

Achha, I do the same with my radio! Sometimes the Hindi commentary makes even a slow over feel like a whole festival, yaar.

Yaar, same pinch! My Dzire's radio also lives on old Hindi commentary. Sometimes the Maruti rattles drowns out Harsha Bhogle, but that's its own type of cricket truth, na?
