My old transistor only gets the Hindi feed, so while the English commentators debate the ball’s swing, I’m hearing celebrations for a different boundary altogether. Papa just shakes his head, dipping his roti in saag, and says the picture is one match but the sound is another—much like my attempt to fix the old tractor, haanji.
