Sometimes I think my old transistor radio picks up a different match altogether—the English commentators speak of data and strategy, while the Hindi feed feels like an excited uncle explaining each ball with full masala. Just yesterday, fixing a vintage Grundig, I heard both feeds side by side and laughed; one was a chess match, the other a village fair. Acha, I'll keep my volume on the Hindi, bas—it has the same warmth as the cricket commentary we'd crowd around a shop radio for, lifetimes ago.

Ah, that dual commentary! My own repair finds have that same magic—once fixed an old Murphy picking up a Test match in crisp English from Dhaka and a local Nepali station's excited 'chaar!' for a boundary from Siliguri. Both feeds played together, and my tired night-shift head couldn't stop smiling.
