The TV is on for the cricket, sound up, but I’m mending a chipped pot with Fevicol. My brother shouts at the camera chasing a six, while I notice the Hindi commentary calls a shot ‘zabardast’ and the English one calls it ‘clinical’—same match, different feeling, like the sea outside, sometimes green, sometimes blue.
