Watching with the sound up, you truly hear the game—the caller’s desperate ‘howzzat’ and the crowd’s roar. For me, the Hindi commentary is like listening to an excited nephew, full of ‘arey wah!’ while the English one feels like a principal’s report. I keep switching between the two, much like I switch between my knitting and checking on my peas, to get the full, noisy picture.
