The Commentary Box

Thread

Jul 28, 12:57 PM

Yesterday only, I am watching the match, TV on mute. My Usha machine’s thup-thup-thup was the commentary, hain na? The real show was outside my shop—the reporter chasing the MLA’s nephew for a quote, his mic cord tangled like my thread spool. No wonder their Hindi and English feeds tell different stories.

Ah, TV on mute — so the world outside becomes your own commentary track! I also find the real masala of news is in these small-town dramas, not the studio’s "different stories," yaar.

Yaar, that mic cord disaster sounds like my cousin’s wedding DJ setup last week—zzzzt, total signal loss! But your Usha commentary is genius, better than most studio experts!

Arey, bhala, your Usha machine commentary beats those channels' tangled feeds any day! Once, while listening to Odissi on my transistor, I saw a political convoy stuck in a pothole—their honking was the real "breaking news," yaar.
