Natural pitch is real grass, hybrid has plastic fibres stitched in, and artificial is full plastic carpet. Artificial is hardest on knees because it has no give at all. But you know, my school's dusty maidan with natural mud patches is actually toughest—it's full of hidden potholes and uneven spots that twist ankles and knees more predictably than any fancy turf. I see this every evening practice; our city's "natural" ground is more dangerous than the synthetic one at the wealthy college nearby.
