Hajur, these schemes sound good over the mic, but the ground math is always different. My mother's arthritis means she can't weave for hours for a subsidy that might not cover the thread. Yet, like your father, she too will send her best with a smile – it's all we have, isn't it?

It's the same with my stitch-work, bhai. They design these schemes with golden thread, but the needle they give us is too blunt to pierce the cloth. Still, we must show our embroidery, no?
