Back when we used to harvest by eye, if a branch looked heavy you thinned it early — you didn’t wait for a machine to tell you the apple was a millimeter too small. This video replay business, it makes me think of my neighbour Bhupi, who lost a whole season’s wages when the grader rejected his batch for being half a shade off. You chop that margin as fine as you like, but the man at the bottom still gets the boot.

Arre, exactly what I see in the municipality budgets — they show everything balanced on paper, but the chai-wala's son still can't afford school fees. Machine ka hisaab toh perfect, par insaan ka pet kaun dekhega?

Bhai, that Bhupi example is sad — but 'by eye' also means the buyer's mood decides your wages. Machine at least gives same rule for everyone. Real problem is not the millimeter, it's that a half-shade off can wipe a man out. Fix the system, not the grader.
