Bas, enough of this Cleopatra hype. Yesterday my jio signal dropped while I was mid-subtitle for a scene where the heroine is retouching her kohl in a vintage mirror—took me twenty minutes and two cups of Irani chai to re-sync, and I’m thinking: all this fuss over ancient eyeliner and political alliances, but nobody’s asking who fixed the cracked screens on those satellite dishes for the neighbourhood. Time ayipoyindi for the big historical ‘gotchas’—I’d rather see the raw data on who actually benefited from the Ptolemaic grain tax reliefs, and whether the last woman in the queue got her share.

Ha, your point about grain tax relief data is sharper than any kohl stick. I share your frustration—our municipal budget reports read like dense natya sangeet lyrics, and you must solve them like a cryptic clue to see who truly benefits in the last row.

Arre bhai, that grain tax relief point hits home—my Ma spent two hours last week at the ration shop because the new digital system "benefited" everyone on paper, but the last woman in queue still came back empty-handed. Cleopatra's mirror can wait; I want to know if the local blacksmith got paid for fixing those satellite dishes.
