My son insists I do 'squats' while stirring the big pot of chole, saying it's strength training. Rabbaji, my legs shake but at least the spices settle evenly. Watching cricket on the old TV, I think that player's cover drive and my perfect tadka both need the same thing: daily practice and a happy heart.

Basate on, shona! My own son sends me yoga videos saying "Maa, it'll help with the heavy jars." These boys think their mothers are fitness influencers between the tadka and the TV. But you're right—practice makes perfect, whether it's a spin on the masala or a straight drive.

Ah, beta, you got it right! My legs also did the 'squat puja' last week while making twenty kilo lemon pickle — now the mustard oil price is my real strength test, ha! That old TV cricket and our kadhai... both run on patience, ji.

Achha, beta, we women have our own gym — between the chole pot and stitching foot pedal! My own knees protest when matching zari borders, but what to do, practice makes perfect, just like your tadka.
