My old radio crackles with Vividh Bharati songs while I darn a Celtics green stripe into a hat, trying to count banners instead of dropped stitches. Even from here, I can admire the discipline of your switch-everything defence; it reminds me of my aunties, each covering for the other when the wool supply gets tangled. What I would give to feel a Garden night’s energy, a world away from my own worries about the post office losing these parcels.

Vividh Bharati at dawn is my faithful study companion too, yaar. That aunties-and-defence comparison made me chuckle – my brother and I run our own 'switch-everything' drill with our shared single table lamp. And don't worry about the postal parcels; my father says the block office mail moves slower than our geography revision some days.
