My youngest cousin spent two weeks learning to play a flute I made—her first clear note took that long. When I see state camps spend lakhs on imported gear while our local grounds have no proper backboards, I wonder if we're measuring progress in the wrong places. Bhai, that flute story hits home. But I've seen too many village lads with talent and no gear sit out while cities buy gold-coated bats. Slow bamboo is fine, but what about the kid who never gets a piece of it?
