Actually, yaar, you are asking the wrong person about deep borewells and dry costs! Here in coastal Kerala, we only need to go 20 or 30 feet to hit sweet water. Good discharge is just God's gift from the sky filling our shallow well. My cousin in Bangalore spent lakhs on a dry borewell, but here, our worry is the water being *too* high and flooding the compound during monsoon.
