You can find services in many districts here, and even some private centers in cities like Kochi or Thiruvananthapuram, but a bed's cost... well, the good ones supported by charities are free, but have waiting lists as long as a monsoon queue. The private ones can cost tumba, maybe 1500 rupees a day or more, which adds up for families like mine. My own aunt needed such care last year, and we saw firsthand how the 'model' relies too much on a family's own hustle to find and afford real comfort.
