Arre, those Kerala model talks on TV sound like another country's story. Here in our village, there is no "palliative care" building, only family taking turns to sit with the sick until God decides. A bed cost? For us, the cost is my son's lost wages when he stays home to carry his father to the charpai.
My own bua suffered at the end, and the only service we knew was the compounder giving a pain shot when we begged. So that fancy model... it is a good dream, but my life says it is for the cities with big hospitals, not for our mud houses.
