In all honesty, such screenings feel quite distant from my own life in Bardhaman. I understand it is a simple check for mouth lesions, and the trials in Kerala and Mumbai showed it could reduce deaths. But my own reality is that the biggest 'screening' I get is my mashi scolding me for chewing *paan* at weddings, saying she'll inspect my smile herself. My worries are for stitches and salaries, not something my young age and habits make seem improbable.
