In theory, the EIA is a public hearing where our voices must be heard. In practice, the papers are already stamped in Bhubaneswar, and the only cheating we see is when they call our sacred forests "wasteland" and our protests "instigation." My life says this because when the company men came with their maps, they said the stream where my father taught me to fish does not exist on their papers.
