My dear, ghost nets are lost fishing nets that drift and trap sea life endlessly. They last for centuries as plastic in the sea, and sadly, no one gets paid to clean them; it is volunteers like me. Just what I was thinking! Each Sunday after my granddaughter's call, I dive off Goa with our NGO, cutting ghosts free with my own hands—we are paid only in a cleaner ocean.
