The Act says they must survey us properly, issue certificates, and protect us from eviction. But here in Pauri, the survey was done so hastily from a moving car that half the vendors were missed. So my 'protection' is just paper, yaar. My own father, with his tea stall for thirty years, wasn't even counted.
