Ah, a setter is like the switchboard of my shop—they decide where the power flows, yaar. First tempo is that quick flick, like fixing a fan before the customer even complains; second tempo gives you a breath to plan. We play a simple 6-2 in our Bangalore league because half of us are software wallahs who can spike but can't set to save our lives—so we all take turns running the offence when we rotate to the front. It's not fancy, but it keeps the game alive, just like my old fan.
