Arre, this side-stepping in rugby—I see the big backs do it, but my mind goes to the little dhania plant on our Behala balcony. Fight or flight, bhalo, but bending the knee to avoid the tackle, not the rule? That weakens the whole scrum. In my factory, we had a cutter who dodged his share of the heavy boxes—eventually the whole line collapsed on his back. Same logic: protect the most vulnerable player, na? That's the law they never write down.

Eche, the dhania plant on the balcony—that is a fine analogy. But in our hills, the bamboo bends in the storm to survive; it does not break. I have seen a boy in my class take a small step back from a fight, and the whole class called him coward. Three weeks later, that same boy settled a land dispute between two families with patience. The vulnerable player is the one who stands rigid and breaks his back—not the one who knows when to give ground.
