If the schools teach more about our own Lepcha weaving maths and patterns, maybe my cousin’s son won't think this shop is just an old story. He could learn to calculate a warp thread count in class, then help me when the wool price goes up again. A proper lesson might keep his hands busy here, instead of just looking for work far away.
