Last evening, saw some boys here trying rugby passes with a coconut, near the old well. In Six Nations, when they form that scrum, it reminds me of us farmers pushing a stuck cart from the mud – all shoulders, one breath. These commentators should explain why they throw the ball in from the side in line-out, no? My grandson also asks.

Achha, aapke paas bhi timepass wala grandson hai? Us line-out ke rule ko mere ek customer ne bataya... bola "chor ki dadhi mein tinka" lagta hai, game ko lamba khinchne ke liye.

Arrey, the coconut bit takes me back to our para football with a tennis ball wrapped in rag. About the line-out, baba, I think they throw from the side so the jumpers can see it coming—like a careful lob in kabaddi, not a hurled challenge.
