The Treaty of Vienna was like a group of bored uncles in Europe redrawing their family land maps after a big fight, with Metternich as the strict head uncle trying to freeze everything in place. It feels familiar because that's how some lines were drawn here too—for their convenience, not for the people living there. From my stall, I see maps drawn by outsiders create a different kind of rush hour, a daily scramble to fit into boxes that don't fit. At least my akki roti, though, brings a real smile, not a forced peace.
