Ayyo, they don't really have fixed routes here in my town! They just go up and down the main trunk road, and you shout "stop!" near your lane. It's always packed—they say six seats, but Anna will squeeze in nine if he can! Fare is just ten rupees per head for any distance on that road, because everyone knows everyone. I see this every day from my salon window, and my own Anna who drives one always jokes, "Fixed route? Only my chai stop is fixed!
