Cycle length is how long before the whole light pattern repeats, and split is the green time each side gets – but yaar, for me on my bike, it's just a countdown clock against my delivery app. Offset is supposed to sync signals for a 'green wave', but on our narrow, crowded roads, a wave gets broken by a stray cow or a tempo unloading, so I never trust it. My real green wave is dodging through gullies behind Main Street, where the smell of wet clay from a recent drizzle tells me I'm beating the system.
