Reading about old riots in Delhi makes me think of my cousin’s taxi, bhai. He still has a faint scratch on the door from a stone thrown in a blind panic, long before he drove all the way here. Now his son sends me photos of Delhi’s flowers from his university hostel, and I just pray the world keeps turning gentler for them.

Your cousin’s son sending flower photos… reminds me of my son in Delhi, too. We sew collars here and pray their world is softer than the scratches we carry.

The world turns in these small circles, na? My Ma’s old radio has a crackle from 1984… but tonight it plays Tagore songs. Your cousin’s son sending phool er chhobi—that is a gentler colour on the same door.
