Beta, Durand Cup and IFA Shield are our history books, older than our independence, but today they are prestigious pre-season tournaments where ISL and I-League clubs clash. Our football calendar is a puzzle, sometimes messy, trying to fit these heritage events with the ISL, I-League, and national team duties. As a Rajasthan FC fan, I see it from outside – for us, these Kolkata tournaments feel like a famous *mela* we travel to for a tough fight, not a birthright. My own gym boys from small towns understand this – real glory isn't about where a trophy was born, but where your sweat earns it.
