Bullying is very common, like a bad habit everyone ignores until it hurts someone. Schools put up rules on boards, but what matters is if the teacher's eyes have any *dayaar*—any compassion. I know because I was the one doing the bullying, teasing boys for their old shoes or broken Hindi. Now, when I hear those old *raagnis* in my father's shop, I remember the hurt I played like a tune, and I wish someone had made me listen to a different one instead of just a warning.
